Garden Centre consultation

The Garden Centre is growing! We’ve finally got the go ahead to take over the old NIA Centre car park – we want to do something wonderful with it and we want you to tell us what that something might be. We’re a community organisation and so we want you, the community, to help us create something great for Hulme – to give us your ideas as to what will best serve local people – and then we’ll make it happen.

So, we’re holding a Discussion & Design Day – an opportunity to tell us what you want to see in the new garden space, whether it’s more trees, community allotments, straw bale buildings, renewable energy, whatever it might be, here in Hulme. We also want to find out what you might want to see on the old ‘Spider Park’, the space just off Leaf Street . We’d like to make sure that this area is put to good use so join us in the creative process and we’ll try to make something happen.

The Discussion & Design Day will be an opportunity to stimulate your creativity, unleash your imagination and help us shape our thinking as to how amazing this community space could be. We’ll have David Rudlin, an urban design expert, on hand to facilitate the discussion, capture your creativity and finally transcribe ideas onto a model which you will help to make. Please arrive promptly at 2pm, here at HCGC, to make sure your views are heard. We look forward to seeing you. Refreshments included! www.hulmegardencentre.org.uk
